When you use ProjectHub, we may collect the following types of information:

  • Account Information: Your name and email address when you register for an account
  • Download Form Data: Student name, college name, guide name, enrollment number, department, and academic year — entered voluntarily when customizing project downloads
  • Payment Information: Payment screenshots, UTR/transaction reference numbers submitted for purchase verification. We do not collect or store your bank account details, UPI PIN, or card numbers
  • Usage Data: Download history, project browsing activity, and general usage patterns for improving the Platform
  • Feedback & Communication: Messages submitted through our feedback form or via email/Telegram

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Account Management: To create and manage your user account, authenticate logins, and maintain your download history
  • Order Fulfillment: To verify payments, approve access to purchased projects, and personalize your downloaded materials (reports, certificates, etc.)
  • Communication: To respond to your queries, feedback, or support requests
  • Platform Improvement: To analyze usage patterns and improve our content, features, and user experience

We do NOT sell, trade, rent, or share your personal information with any third party for marketing or advertising purposes.

3. Password Security

Your password is securely hashed using the bcrypt algorithm before being stored in our database. We never store your plain-text password. Even our administrators cannot view or recover your password. If you forget your password, you must reset it through our password recovery process.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure servers hosted by Render (cloud infrastructure provider). We implement industry-standard security measures including:

  • HTTPS (SSL/TLS) encryption for all data transmitted between your browser and our servers
  • Bcrypt password hashing
  • PostgreSQL database with restricted access

While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Cookies & Local Storage

We use minimal cookies and local storage:

  • Session Cookie: A secure session cookie to keep you logged in during your visit
  • Theme Preference: A local storage value to remember your dark/light mode preference

We do not use tracking cookies, third-party advertising cookies, or social media tracking pixels.

6. Third-Party Services

We may use the following third-party services:

  • Google Analytics: To understand website traffic and usage patterns (if enabled). Google Analytics may use cookies. You can opt out using browser extensions like Google Analytics Opt-out.
  • Render: Our cloud hosting provider. Your data is stored on their infrastructure.

7. Data Retention

  • Your account data is retained for as long as your account remains active
  • Payment records and transaction history are retained for accounting and dispute resolution purposes
  • You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by emailing us

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your account and personal data
  • Objection: Object to certain processing of your data

ProjectHub is intended for college-level students (typically 18 years and above). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe we have collected data from a minor, please contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date at the top. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
